Rafi Nova was so excited and grateful that our Smile Mask was noted as innovative by Daily Mail! We came up with the concept for this mask in early April. One day while at work in the office, we were having a lighthearted conversation about how we wish people could see our smiles through traditional cloth masks. Then, one of our team members, Olivia Gampel, who is a Speech Language Pathologist, had a lightbulb go off. She explained that there is a larger group of people that needs to be able to see mouths in order to communicate. So, we got to work on designing a mask that would work for the deaf and hard of hearing community, in addition to the larger population. We designed the Smile Mask with a clear panel in front to stop the spread of germs without concealing the mouth, and adjustable ear straps that can be worn comfortably with cochlear implants and other hearing aids. We started out by sending prototypes to people who needed one and asked only for their feedback in return. It was very positive, but our company is always working to innovate and improve our designs. We have recently developed the Smile Mask in a size for children, as well as a new array of colors! Additionally, we are consistently looking to enhance our product aesthetics and performance, and are always open to feedback!
